-As you guessed, my name is Steve Cross. I am a single father of one son, Jason, who is 2 years old (as of Aug 2014). On top of that, I work for ADP as an Technical Application Analyst, working tier 2 support for one of our applications. On top of these things, I am also an open source programmer, hardware engineer, car enthusiast, musician, recording engineer, and just about anything else that I can get my hands on. I have been working with computers for most of my life, and cars for even longer. I started working with computers when I was nine years old, and motors when I was six years old. I really enjoy programming and have worked extensively with the following technologies and languages (some have most likely been left out): Windows, Linux, Max OS X, BSD, Android, C, C++, C#, Java, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Python, MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, Bash, PowerShell, and miscellaneous others. At the moment I am focused on building projects using interactive front ends using jQuery. I have also found that I am a huge fan of Node.JS and really enjoy developing applications on this platform.

On top of that, I work for ADP as a Site Reliability Engineer, working as an internal software developer. Needless to say, I don't have a ton of free time. So what did I do? I decided to bring back my old wiki and start contributing to it again! Cause, you know.. lots of spare time ;).
-In late 2013, my son and I moved into our own home that I am able to do whatever I want to. After many years of planning and dreaming, I am now finally able to build my home automation project that I've wanted for so many years. This includes entertainment, lighting, security, climate (inside and out), and whatever else I can tack on there. This is how the [[CrossHomeAutomation]] project was born. For years I've used EventGhost as a framework for controlling my entertainment. Now that I am expanding on this for climate, lighting, and many other things, I have outgrown the capabilities of EventGhost and have been working on my own, custom built framework.

My platform of choice these days is .NET Core. Professionally, I have developed an entire MSA platform with it. Personally, I have written quite a few utilities with it for all sorts of different projects.
